52x52: Play Pooh Sticks

52 random acts of kindness that each take under 52 seconds. One action each week, over a year takes less than an hour of your life.

Celebrate Winnie the Pooh Day  (AA Milne's Birthday) by introducing someone to the game of pooh sticks.

Method: Just find two sticks (and a bridge over a river) and each person drops a stick over the same side of the bridge and crosses to the other side of the bridge to see whose stick was the fastest from one side to the other.

The game is best done in rural settings where bridges are not the size of London Bridge or maybe an urban park with a river or a bridge over a canal.

And failing finding a suitable bridge over suitable water, wait for a really rainy day where puddles are running into drains and find some really thin sticks or even grass blades (as long as you can tell whose is whose) and see who can get theirs down the drain first.

And finish it off with reminding them of the AA Milne quote:

'always remember.
You are braver than you believe,
stronger than you seem,
and smarter than you think.'
