52x52: Hold a Door Open

52 random acts of kindness that each take under 52 seconds. One action each week, over a year takes less than an hour of your life.

There are many reasons to open a door or hold one open, whether it is as The Guardian (2015) suggests a form of 'etiquette' to reduce the effort of the grooup, as Psychology Today (2011) puts it, ' to minimize the collective effort' or because of some kind of gender stereotype, as the Telegraph (2014) discusses or because the next person is genuinely physically less able to open the door.

Let's just hold that door open for the next person, whoever they are, just to be kind.
