random acts of kindness that each take under 52 seconds. One action
each week, over a year takes less than an hour of your life.
My favourite toast smell is from my Gran's toast which was made with one of those old toasters that had the bread put in at the sides. The type of bread and toaster created a specific toast smell. It was warming, comforting and satisfying.
At our Youth Centre we have toast every session for the same reasons. Ok we might use a four slice automatic toaster for speed. And the bread might be more mass produced and a 50/50 mix of brown and white to introduce those lees keen on more healthy bread options. And we ma;y not use Irish butter and instead a more spreadable and longlasting but still tasty alternative, The smell of the toast does most of the work.
This week make someone some toast, it'll make During
the summer a young woman got on the bus, pressing her bus pass on the
scanner and expected the beep of acceptance that usually came with such
an action. Not this time. She did it again. No, not right. And again.
The bus driver said she had no money on the card. She told him that that
was impossible as she'd put some on that day. And while this discussion
continued, she, he and a bus full of passengers were losing their
patience.
