52x52: 12 Days of Christmas Challenge

52 random acts of kindness that each take under 52 seconds. One action each week, over a year takes less than an hour of your life.

Christmas day has passed, so has Boxing day (St Stephens day in Ireland) so does that mean Christmas is over? No. There are 12 days of Christmas. Remember the song beginning 'On the first day of Christmas...' ? It did not end on the second day of Christmas but the twelfth (however much you might wish for it to).

Heard of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night? Well again another indication of there being more than a couple of days and nights of Christmas festivities.

So today's act of kindness will be to decide to keep the Christmas feelings of love, kindness and goodwill towards our fellow man for at least 12 days and to spread these feelings so that next year and the year after, it will become associated with a time of joy and sharing and hope rather than a return to normal life and mundane living.

This year you can make a list of what you are going to do next year for your 12 Days of Christmas to be kind - of course you could just decide to start today and to hell with it!

Take the 12 Days of Christmas Challenge - spread the love.
